Check out these beautiful photo’s of Sports Illustrated model and former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron’s wedding! We were honored that she wore Haute Bride on her wedding day!  Katherine’s wedding gown was an embroidered custom-made Sherri Hill gown- fitted strapless creation with a sweetheart neckline and floral embroidery covering the entire dress. She also wore a long veil on top of her loose, romantic waves. Sherri Hill designed her Miss USA dress and is now designing couture wedding dresses. Her 10 bridesmaids also wore pink gowns designed by Sherri, and La Gartier designed her custom garters. The photographer behind this spectacular wedding was Kim Box Photography.

{About the designer}

“Hayley Paige, head designer of the Blush and Hayley Paige bridal collections, made a jump start in fashion by interning for Nina Garcia at Elle magazine while attending Cornell University. She went on to work in ready-to-wear for Jill Stuart after receiving honorary attention for her 10-piece bridal collection shown during her graduating year. Eventually, her dedication to all things creative led to designing and styling abroad where she developed an appreciation for European influences.

Paige established herself as an integral designer for the Melissa Sweet bridal and bridesmaid collections and was the primary designer behind the first Marchesa Eterna bridal collection at Priscilla of Boston. Her contributions can be found in highly sought-after bridal publications, as well as nation-wide bridal boutiques.

Ever so eclectic, her designs capture a romantic and charming aesthetic that balances inner ingénue and sophistication. Her interpretation of worldly influences and desire to dress hopeful romantics, have provided a foundation for a fanciful and fresh take on bridal wear. Never taking herself too seriously and fully embracing the adorning history of the bridal industry, Hayley Paige develops her craft from an inspirational place of appreciation and enjoyment.”

Our consultant Julie knows about everyone in Los Gatos, so when it came to helping Ashley, a friend from high school pick out her dress, she was beyond thrilled. Ashley was married this past May at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, California wearing Matthew Christopher’s Sabrina trumpet gown. This very detail oriented bride even requested extra lace from her dress to be ordered, so that she could have a hair flower made to match. The beautiful day was captured by John and Jonathan of  Iris & Light Photography and Damon Chamerlain of Frontside Films.

 {How sweet are they?}

Join us for a special Valentine’s Day Trunk Show with our newest line, Christos Bridal. We are SO THRILLED to be carrying this beautiful line designed by another one of our favorite designers, Amsale.

Christos gowns are a perfect blend of modern and vintage couture detail evoking beauty and purity with a romantic tone. Continuing the devotion to intricate detailing, the collection features hand beaded belts, refined lace hems and hand crafted silk flowers, while feather-like layers of tulle, silk and lace create fluid and airy silhouettes. CHRISTOS designs are especially known for their use of Alençon lace, or point d’Alençon, a type of needle lace created in the French town Alençon, a small town in Normandy, that began manufacturing lace in the sixteenth century. This same lace is used today to create CHRISTOS classic romantic designs.

About the designer…

CHRISTOS was established in 1984 by Cyprus-born designer Christos Yiannakou. Retiring in 2005, Yiannakou personally invited Amsale to take over as creative director, Amsale has upheld the CHRISTOS  legacy for tradition while infusing a touch of her own modern sensibility. Amsale sees CHRISTOS as a natural extension of her own collection, as both are rooted in classic timelessness. A romantic at heart, she reveres CHRISTOS as a venue for her more traditional side. In opposition to the modern aesthetic that defines the AMSALE collection, CHRISTOS evokes a feeling of natural beauty, and romance. Hollywood has embraced Amsale’s CHRISTOS collection, featuring CHRISTOS gowns in such films as 27 Dresses starring Katherine Heigel, The Accidental Husband, starring Uma Thurman and My Best Friend’s Girl starring Kate Hudson.

While visiting her family in Los Gatos, Victoria came in one random Tuesday morning knowing exactly which dress she wanted to try on. Now this is far from every bride’s experience, but she literally had a picture of Victor Harper’s VH144 in hand and as soon as she put it on it was love at first sight. In fact, she left us all in tears (myself included, and I had just met her). We completed her bridal look by customizing a bracelet and hairpiece which matched perfect with her vision, as well as pairing the look with our Adrienne Veil.

The wedding took place in September at Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa, California. There was actually a pretty decent thunderstorm prior to the ceremony, so although they ended up having to move everything inside, they were left with a double rainbow! The picture perfect day was captured by Jennifer Bagwell Photography and coordinated by Ali of Ali DiLuvio Events.

From the bride: “There were some wedding traditions that I definitely wanted to stay true to; my dad giving me away, tossing of the bouquet, etc. Initially I even thought that my husband and I would not see each other until I walked down the aisle. I never thought we would do a “first look,” but I am so glad we did! When I woke up on my wedding day (hours before dawn by the way) I was SO anxious. I had remained so cool and collected during the planning that I figured I had this all down. I did not. The hustle bustle of everyone getting ready around me while I sat in my bridal robe sipping 7-Up was definitely not the relaxing, girly time I had pictured happening in the hours before saying “I do.”

After I was all dressed up and settled in my bridal suite at the winery, my coordinator entered the room to tell me that my groom had arrived. At that moment, the nauseous upside-down stomach sensation I had been experiencing *all day* had lifted. Suddenly I was what every bride should be: HAPPY! The feeling only elevated when I finally did see him waiting for me.

Having our own moment together before the day was whisked away from us was the best decision we made. Our photographer had to tell us to stop kissing so we could have a few shots actually facing the camera! There wasn’t anything in particular that I needed to have happen on that day to make it perfect; I wasn’t crushed when it started raining, and I didn’t bat an eye at the no-show guests. All I knew going into our wedding day, was how I wanted to feel. And with that first look at my husband, that was all I needed.”

We’re so lucky to have the opportunity to work with so many amazing brides that walk through our door on a daily basis; however, sometimes our brides contact us from all over the world to order accessories and although we never have the chance to meet them, they’re just as special to us. Selina, a Southern California bride who I had the privilege of helping this summer just sent us her gorgeous wedding photos from her October 11th wedding. If you think you recognize the house where her reception took place, you’re probably right- it’s Donna Martin’s iconic beach house from the TV series 90210! The two were married right along side the house on the beach. The stunning photos were captured by Sargeant Creative. Her hair and makeup were provided by Melina of Beauty by Melina. Enjoy!!

{Can any on you picture Donna & David now?}

{Two dresses… Why not?! For the ceremony, Selina wore an amazing dress by popular bridal designer Rivini and then later slipped into a more simple, but sexy gown by Los Angeles based designer Katie May.}

{Selina wore our glamorous EC-913 earrings in silver and clear which paired perfectly with both her dresses.}

{The gorgeous floral design were created by Casey of Flower Duet.}

{Congratulations Selina and Andrew. We wish you nothing but the best!}
